July 5, 2012, after hiking to Clingman’s Dome, the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, we returned to our truck just before this massive storm cloud rolled over the mountain. We feel very blessed to have made it off the mountain. We have heard that other hikers are still unaccounted for. Video Rating: 4 / 5
wow that is amazing footage, we were there tues and hiked it in the rain. We were in pigeon forge when the storm rolled in. It was wicked crazy and were at cades cove the day before at the same time. We were going to go thur but changed it to a day earlier I am so glad for that. My prayers go out to all who were there in the worst hit areas.
Both guides also include Wedding Chapels and Wedding Related Services. After all, Gatlinburg - Pigeon Forge is second only to Vegas as the Wedding Capital of the USA.
Be sure and check out some of the information on this page for cabin rentals and resorts – to find some amazing deals on lodging in this area – many with these kinds of views that we have here.
Maybe it is the economy, but I am amazed at how cheap some of these beautiful mountain cabins deals are going for – and it seems that every rental company is using cut throat pricing to fill empty cabins. Hope you can find a great deal – so you can come visit!
